Premise

Creation

Farzi was first imagined as a film by Raj and DK with Shahid Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in 2014. Kriti Sanon joined the cast before the year's over. By 2019, it was ventured into a TV series with Kapoor actually connected. In January 2021, Kapoor affirmed that Raashii Khanna had joined the project.In September 2021, Bhuvan Arora said that he was dealing with the series.Raj and DK offered a section to Vijay Sethupathi when they were in Chennai recording The Family Man; he joined the creation 40 days after they started shooting. He credited his co-star Raashi Khanna, with whom he had worked before in Tamil movies, for making him agreeable on set.
